I love how you hold
me together
Even when I am falling

at my own end
You show me
A brand new place
To start

When nothing’s as real
As the pain that I feel
And the fear that I can’t
Keep at bay

everything inside
Begs me to hide
But You pull my disguise

And I trust you enough
To let it fall down
To show you how
broken I am

You look straight through
And see the whole truth
In that way that
Only you can

You point at the ground
And when I look down
The pieces lay
There at our feet

You lift your eyes
And to my surprise
I see that you’re
Broken like me.

About Shirley Ann Washam

I am an extremely blessed, divorced mother of four AMAZING children. Above that, I am a child of God! I pray that He would use this blog to speak through me to those who are hurting and discouraged. My goal is to share whatever is given by our LORD to uplift and encourage those who, like me, are blessed beyond measure, but still sometimes find themselves struggling to find answers and need a little encouragement. If you are in need of encouragement, I pray that you find it here, in the words that He speaks through me.
